I frequently think about my 2 four legged BBF's back in the PNW. And when I say frequently, I really mean every single damn day. I miss my daily doses of queen of all the land Rosie, and Ms. Spunk with her special tongue Jade. I never had that childhood pet that I had always wanted but the day that I moved 3,000 miles away from those two pups was still just as sad for me as if they had been in the family since I was 7. I miiight be watering up writing this? I can facetime with family and see Rosie & Jade pop up in the background a million times but it isn't the same as having them snuggled up on my lap. Soon might be the time to find an east coast pup eh?
I have finally been able to get a new computer for myself! I just have to geek out for a post.. Tim has been doing all of the necessary research and built his own computer from scratch. No computer science degree, no classes no step by step peer help... proud GF moment :) After I saw how great his computer turned out I trusted him to come up with the build for my own computer. One requirement I had was that the case and monitor had a sleek and sessy look. I cannot stand those bulky cases and monitors with unsightly buttons and colors. AND that he taught me how to build. It is so nice knowing what is actually in your computer and what part makes what work. Once Tim set out all of the parts and explained to me where to connect everything it really is not too hard; a nice little exercise for the brain ha. A plus, building your own computer saves heaps of moolah too! and here she is//specs below>>

For the first time since moving to DC Tim and I went back home to the west coast. Being back in the PNW was a blast! We were definitaly not there long enough.. It is the hardest when all you want to do is spend as much quality time with your family and friends as possible and then running out of time. I sure to miss seeing my fam whenever I want. I was lucky to be able to be apart of a best friend's wedding. I will never forget sharing such a special day. Thanks to the best girl of all time Nikki for planning an awesome evening at McMenamins for the biggest group of friends! It was very special to be able to see so many friends that I haven't been able to see in way too many months. There are so many moments that I will cherish from the visit home, especially the first night sleepover with my pup Rosie!

Slumber Party!
A couple of weeks ago two of my best friends from Oregon came to visit me. We had the best time stomping around DC. It is always fun showing visitors around the city. They were only in town a few days so it was hard to decide what to pack into the small amount of time that we had together. Georgetown and Serendipity was a must. Happy hour on King Street in Alexandria, a must. Saturday Brunch and sipping on mimosas at Tonic..a must. Having brunch together was probably one of best parts of their visit. It reminded me of Saturdays back in Portland when we all would be discussing the previous nights events. This time, it was all about catching up with my girls. I really do have some of the BEST friends and I don't know where I would be without them in my life. See you in a couple of months!
