The other weekend a few of Tim's friends and I decided to embark on The DC Beerathon. We started the afternoon [beginning @3pm] off with a Fat Tire [love Amber Ale]. We all were given a map of the twenty-six participating DC bars along with a badge to track our beer venture. Of course we all were convinced that we would be crusaders all the way through the twenty-six beers, including me since I had to be one of the dudes. After about ten punches in our badges we didn't know what we were thinking and only made it to a grand total of twelve beers/bars before calling a cab for home. +Maybe next year?
Promise me that if you ever see one of these burger oasis', you will enter the oasis and purchase their ShackBurger.
Shake Shack is the place to be for a burger! More like a golden burger! They have crinkle cut fries [the best kind], their own brewed beer, and even special treats for your pup.
Late post[oops]..
Last week Tim and I decided to show some Seahawk love and venture into the city for some Monday night football. We found our selves walking into a sports tavern that we were told had a large base of hawk fans, Penn Quarter Sports Tavern. Both of us completely spaced about the World Series game that was happening at the same time but luckily the whole upstairs of the place was dedicated solely to the Seahawks game. It was great to be able to see so many fans all the way across the country! There was standing room only, which made the atmosphere that much more exciting to get into the game. Seahawks won of course :]
I have moved again, to Washington, DC! I am definitely a person on the go, I always have been. I love to be a busy bee and constantly going places, meeting people and staying active. Especially when they include new experiences! You never know what kind of opportunities are waiting for you! Don't get me wrong, I do love my occasional lazy days here and there with a cup of coffee, blanket and a movie, tv marathon or book. I am so excited to see what is in store for my new adventure on the opposite side of the country.
This map may or may not be able to help me with finding my way around the city but I will definitely have to wander over to the Farmers Market to remind me of Portland and the Dog Walkers' Paradise since Rose pup isn't here with me.
